I know that a lot of people have been having issues with the site ‘timing out’ and displaying a server error message forcing them to keep refreshing the page.
I’m hoping that the new theme I installed tonight might stop the timeouts. If it doesn’t, please let me know by sending me a comment through the Contact page.

I was happy to be cruising thru my AppShopper app when I ran across that ThumbStar Games has created an iOS version of one of my favorite board games and working on a PC version that’s even bigger and will eventually incorporate the expansions.
From the site -
‘Talisman is a game in which you take on the role of a heroic adventurer, building up your strength, wisdom, and wealth in a quest for glory. Talisman Prologue HD brings all the fun of the classic board game and more to the digital realm. Talisman Prologue HD is the first release in this exciting adaptation of the classic board game.
The legend begins with a single-player series of adventures designed to invite both veterans and newcomers to explore the land of Talisman. While multiplayer gameplay will be available in upcoming expansions, Talisman Prologue HD focuses on creating narrative depth through its single-player campaigns. The story unfolds as the player rolls dice to move around the outer, middle, and inner regions of the board. Each space will require the player to draw a card or resolve a special effect, leading your hero to encounter monsters, discover friendly followers, and gather treasure.
While Talisman Prologue HD uses the rules of the board game, there are some differences in the gameplay. The biggest new addition to the game is the introduction of quests. In the classic board game of Talisman, the goal is to reach the Crown of Command and claim it. In order to provide a varied, rich, and story-focused experience each time you play Talisman Prologue HD, you play one of fifty unique quests for each of its ten characters. The quests have goals that the player must complete in order to lead his hero to victory. You may be tasked with saving a damsel in distress, recovering a powerful artifact of legend, or fending off an immense horde of monsters!’
The game is only $4.99 and is a universal app for both the iPad and iPhone. I’m really looking forward to see what other board games they can create.

This is the new logo designed by my girlfriend. I’m in process of getting it incorporated into all the areas of the site as well as wherever I have business exposure.

Yay! I Finally get to put something in the Game section
I was able to complete 2 game sets today with the addition of the Talisman (4R) The City and The Blood Moon expansions. I was also able to go ahead and pickup the fourth (actually the prequel) to the God of War series, Ascension, for my PS3.
While I don’t have a lot of time for playing games, there are certain board game sets that I have been trying to stay on top of — these are Talisman (4R), Arkham Horror and Mansions of Madness. Video games include the ever popular Mario, God of War and Bioshock series (I still need to get a hold of Infinite to complete that set).
I’ve played all sorts of games throughout the years but didn’t really start to sink my teeth in until I started playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (1e). This is what really started it for me. My favorite series of Adventures to run were primarily the Scourge of The Slave Lords and Queen of the Spiders since they kind of fell hand in hand. Now, mind you, I used to run the modules before they compiled them into the sets they have now — but they were just as good.
Anyhoo — I do plan on adding more content into the site — mainly focusing on the game materials that I have listed. There is so much out there and I just need to kind of concentrate on a few — no site can cover everything about everything.
